MarineTech Hackathon will focus on the innovation, development and implementation of new and existing digital technology into the growing digitisation of the Maritime industry. We are focusing on needed solutions for SMART technologies, connectivity, ocean sustainability, exploration, and science within the deep wide big blue.
Maritime 4.0 is here and the marine world needs to accelerate the use of available digital technology to accelerate innovation in order to boost the marine industry. We are bringing together marine engineers, scientists, industry players, government bodies, researchers and technologists to work together. Innovation and resilience is key!

Oceans of Opportunity
Approximately 70% of the earth’s surface is covered by water; challenges still remain in reference to underwater exploration and research.
Can you help to promote a further understanding of the underwater environment and to encourage the development of techniques and tools to explore, study, and exploit the oceans?
How can we use the ocean, its tidal cycle, and currents as an alternative source of clean energy? Capturing valuable data is essential. By using for instance sensors and IoT, how can we modernize the current practices for more optimized harvesting techniques that follow international laws, stopping pollution at a large scale, and enable surveillance? How can we utilize open platforms and blockchain technology?
